The White Kitchen

I have always loved a white kitchen.  When we renovated our house in Chicago 8 years ago, we remodeled the kitchen with white cabinets, a pale green subway tile, and black granite counter tops.  Now that we are building a new home my plans are much the same.  White cabinets with a subway tile back-splash, however the counter tops are now up for debate.  Do I stick with a honed black granite or do I risk it and go with gorgeous white carrara marble??  Here are some pics I am currently using for inspiration...

  1. LOVE white kitchens. We just painted our kitchen cabinets white in our new house...couldn't do brand new cabinets so this was a good fix...and I LOVE it. These are great options. I love the white carrera counters. My sister who has two kids thinks I'm crazy with white cabinets so I don't know how easy/hard it is to keep all white clean, but looks beautiful!! Go for the white!

  3. We will definitely do white cabinets! I've always had with kids and its been fine! The white marble is my dream but I am nervous they will stain! Especially with my red wine consumption and messy cooking! I will post our decision when we decide!

  4. Be Careful with the carrera marble, saw a show on HGTV that couple really wanted this, and apparently they pick up and show every single stain. So unless you just dont cook and want a show kitchen...asked about how to keep them sealed/ clean
